Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins works as an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current role is a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. This skill was instrumental in securing her first work at Univision, Miami. She worked with producers from across the country on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. Her move in Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at one of the Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. She reported on stories related to immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. As an anchor, her duties for weather, sports or other events were often requested. They moved at some point towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in the month of November in 1985. There is also a sister. In 1992, the family relocated from Mexico and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother remarried an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer vacation that she stayed with her sibling at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and was very aware of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it offered the degree she was looking for. After graduation, she enrolled at the University for a degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a part of. They formed a strong connection. The professor who taught her Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm in journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
