Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s. She has received various awards, including the Golden Globe Award and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. In the film and television industry, she's known for her awards and nominations. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is well-known as an actress. As Bassett was about five the family relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother who had separated from their father. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after seeing the play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She was married in 1997. married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
